Breast Cancer Care | Emma, Jackie, Patricia
Campaigning for Breast Cancer Care; Emma, Pat and Jackie directed by Aine Casey
Towards the end of 2016 we were approached to help out with full picture post-production on three films for Breast Cancer Care. The challenge for Aine, the director, was to portray campaigning in a simple and effective way, connecting with each of the campaigners, and the common theme they shared; a passion for change.
Danni Manzi, Head of Policy and Campaigns at Breast Cancer Care, says “We are delighted to launch our campaigning videos after working with Aine Casey and Jam. We are extremely grateful to them for creating three films that share the stories of the wonderful people who campaign with the charity. These powerful films help encourage more people to campaign for change, so everyone living with and beyond breast cancer gets the specialist care, information and support they need.”
Aine wanted the films to portray passion: “Emma has a passion for travel. Pat has a passion for gardening. Jackie has a passion for jogging. When they were diagnosed, this passion was a change for good in their lives. I aligned this with how they have used the same passion for change for the lives of others. That is what drives them to campaign. Ultimately, the aim was to show how ordinary Emma, Jackie and Pat are, but how what they do is extraordinary.”
We at Jam were more than delighted to offer our services for offline, grade and online when approached by Aine to help out. Aside from being a great cause, it made the perfect introduction for Aine and Carolina, (producer), to our team: “Zoe's talent as the editor impressed me, and she was a pleasure to work with, as was the colourist, Vic Parker, who did an amazing job on the grade. Evren Olgun (post producer) made the entire post production process smooth and easy, from the initial discussions to final delivery.”
Here’s hoping the films help Breast Cancer Care to reach a wider, passionate audience.
